song of the day: tenuousness (andrew bird)
today’s SOTD has the added bonus of introducing you to an incredible website that i love. “from the basement” is a site/internet “tv” show created by nigel goderich, who prodcued records for radiohead. the site features intimate performances from a slew of wonderful “alternative” bands and artists.
today i would like to feature andrew bird’s performance from the site/show. andrew bird is a multi-instrumentally gifted musical genius (and a crazily talented whistler). his use of loops is inspiring, his lyrics beautiful, and his musicianship crisp and tight folk/pop.
