Small Print Named Political Corresponent for the New CHEX Daily Show
I’m honoured to have been named the political correspondent for the new Daily Show on CHEX TV — a Corus Entertainment Station and CBC affiliate.
The CHEX Daily is an update on the existing 5 O’clock show — featuring “fresh, live, and interactive programming.”
I hope to bring a creative non-partisan approach to political coverage, breaking down current political affairs and engaging viewers of all political stripes with the issues of the day.
CHEX is an old journalistic stomping ground of mine — I hosted the Green UpDate on the former 5:30 NewsWatch for several years (the station may have been airing in black and white at the time). It will be an absolute pleasure to work with their television magazine crew again. Many of the faces remain the same from those days.
It will be an exciting autumn. The first shows that I wrote for Global TV’s Fish’n Canada will be going to air, I expect to be busy writing for the Outdoor Journal Radio Show on the FAN590, the Daily Show will be launched, and my usual flotsam and jetsam of magazine writing will continue to circulate.
I hope that all of you will tune in and keep an eye online for these and many more projects.
As always, thank you for your support and encouragement. Knowing that there is an audience for my work always pushes me harder to come up with creative content and (hopefully) thought-provoking ideas.
It makes the work that I do feel that much more meaningful.
