Songs in Progress: YouTube, Al Jazeera and You and Me

I’m quite enjoying this whole “behind the scenes” songwriting thing that I’ve started with I’ve Got Ghosts — A song in progress.

I think I’ll make it an intermittent series — similar to the “Friday Lunchtime Concert Series.”

I figure that if I have these works in progress out there publicly, I’ll be more motivated to get them finished. Plus, what else is the internet for than to share art, music, words and ideas. This has got to be a better use of bandwidth than, say, Non-Stop Nyan Cat.

YouTube al Jazeera and You and Me (click here to listen)still has a lot of work to do on it. There will be a bridge somewhere in there. After the first verse, the music falls apart. First the backing keyboards fall away. Then the vocals start coming in late. But, it is a good sketch.

Come back periodically and check how it is coming along.

And let me know what you think. I’ll take all suggestions into consideration.
